A book entitled "Protecting Religious sanctuaries in International Law" by Dr. Jamila Rifai has been published recently

The book "Protecting Religious Sanctities in International Law" by Dr. Jamila Rifai was recently issued by the Public Egyptian Book Organization, within the publications of the Encyclopedia of Legal Culture. The book had 232 pages of medium size. It started with a preface on the legal basis for the right to protect holy places, and includes three chapters: the first one was about 
“The violation of religious sanctities as an international crime”, the second chapter dealt with the international responsibility for violating the rules of protecting religious sanctities, whether by states, or international organizations or individuals. As for the third and final chapter, the author devoted it to answering the question of the extent to which religious sanctities are protected internationally during armed conflict? It reviewed the international rules targeting the protection of holy religious places, then the role of international organizations to protect them.

It is noteworthy that the author, Dr. Jamila Rifai Mustafa, gained a doctorate from the Faculty of Law- Alexandria University, in public international law. She is a member of the Egyptian Association of International Law, and a member of the Egyptian Association of Political Economy, Statistics and Legislation. She was honoured by Arab League for International Arab Youth. The author also adopted the initiative called “Together We Make the Future” and “Experience and Ambition in a Balance”, which gained the attention of Ministers Council, e Ministry of Youth and Sports, and important conferences were held to discuss it.
