A criticism and celebration session for the poet: Hasseb Al- Sheikh Jaafar at Al-Mustansiriya University

 On Monday morning, 28th of March 2022, at the large hall of College of Education - Al-Mustansiriya University and under the patronage of the College’s Dean:  Prof. Essam Al-Asal, and in cooperation with the House of General Cultural Affairs in the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, the Arabic Language Department is holding a critical and celebratory session for the great poet: Hasseb Al-Sheikh Jaafar, on the occasion of publishing  his complete poetic works. 

 It is worth noting that Hasseb Sheikh Jaafar is an Iraqi poet, and one of the great founders of the “poetic syllable” in Arabic poetry. He contributed in Iraqi press and attended many literary and poetic conferences being held in Iraq, Arab countries and in Soviet Union. Among his poetry collections:

• God's Palm.
• Wooden bird.
• Visit the Sumerian lady.

 He also translated for many Russian poets. In appreciation of his poetic works, he received the Soviet Peace Prize in 1983 and the Sultan Bin Ali Al Owais Cultural Foundation Prize for Poetry, eighth session: 2002-2003.
