Communications and Media Commission (CMC) mourns its former CEO Safaa Rabie

CMC issued a statement, mourning the former head of its Commission, Dr. Safaa El-Din Rabie, who passed away in an accident in Hilla city. 
Iraqi Nakheel followed up the statement to republish it as follows:
“By the name of Allah the Merciful
(We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return)
Communications and Media Commission mourns Dr. Safaa El-Din Rabie, the former CMC Chief Executive Officer who died today because in car accident. After years of giving in CMC he presented his best to service the Commission and the public interest. 
CMC expresses its deepest sympathy and condolences to his family, relatives and friends asking God Almighty to grant him mercy and rest his soul in peace. 
It is noteworthy that Dr. Safa Al-Din Rabie, born in Hilla city. He was imprisoned for ten years during the dictatorial regime in Iraq. He holds Ph.D. in communications from universities in Sweden. He also served CMC as Chairman of its Board Commissioner, then as its Chief Executive Officer for four years.
