On Monday morning, Iraqi Palms Organization celebrated Iraqi creators and young writers, at the "3rd Jewelers” festival of the late Iraqi poet Marwan Adel Hamza course, which was held by the Iraqi Writers Union, in cooperation with the Iraqi Palms Organization and Communications and Media Commission. The first session was chaired by the poet Anmar Mardan.
The festival’s activities started with a speech by the Chairman of Writers Union: Najah Al-Maamouri, who praised the precious efforts presented by Iraqi Nakheel Palms Organization to celebrate the artistic and literary achievements of youth by holding many sessions and seminars and the Organization’s doors are always opened to all activities to raise the creative level as stated previously by the head of the Organization, the poet and journalist Dr. Mujahid Abu Al-Hail.
A lyrical break was presented by Talal Ali, with musical pieces that express the Iraqi national heritage.
The session began with a number of poetry readings, by the Iraqi poet Hazbar Mahmoud, on the occasion of the International Day of Poetry. After that, a number of young poets read their poems, including, Ali Ibrahim al-Yasiri, Furqan Kazem, Ammar al-Salaf, Nabil al-Ayyash, Muhammad Shaker al-Khattat, Mahdi al-Muhanna, Hussein al-Sultan, Amer al-Tayyib, Wissam al-Moussawi, Islam Kazem, Muhammad Obais, Jamil al-Jamil, Nour Darwish
In conclusion, the poet and journalist Dr. Mujahid Abu Al-Hail, critic Ali Al-Fawaz, writer and storyteller Zuhair Benham Bardi, poet Aref Al-Saadi, poet Ali Farhan, and poet Salam Al-Bannai presented appreciation certificates to the poets attended the first session.
