Iraqi Post Issues stamps for Pope Francis visit to Iraq

The spokesman for the Ministry of Communications, Raad al-Mashhadani, announced that the General Company of Postal and Savings issued a postage stamp for the visit of Pope Francis to Iraq, and his meeting with the religious reference, Ali Al-Sistani, and another stamp for the Pope visit to the historical city of Ur. Such visit embodied the concepts of peaceful coexistence and love, among religions inside and outside Iraq.
The annual plan for the company this year was to issue this postage stamp, pursuant to the instructions of Communications Minister-   Engineer Arkan Shehab Ahmed Al Shaibani, and the General Director of the General Company of Postal and Savings: Mr. Idris Khaled Abdul Rahman, to memorialize the visits of important figures to our dear country.
It is worth mentioning that this stamp will be within the issuance of the (memorial) stamps, which are issued in several prices of (500, 750 and 1000) Iraqi dinars. The stamp was designed by Saad Ghazi. It was printed in the General Company of Postal and Savings printing house.
