Iraqi Writers Union has a father heart that can accommodate everyone, but it refuses to be constantly insulted

Iraqi Writers Union has recently faced attacks from some writers, the Union only took initiative of tolerance and brotherhood, for it has the heart of paternal heart that could accommodate everyone. 

However, the Union stated in a statement that it can’t   remain silent about continuous misbehavior and arrogance that will turn into a disgraceful habit in case     keeping silent about it. 

The Union mentions this saying to clarify what happened regarding the writer Salah Zanganeh, and the reasons that led the Union to raise a complaint against him in order to achieve justice, indicating that Zanganeh used to stir up useless whirlwinds, and used to be vulgar against his colleagues through several publications, and his writings extended to reach documented insult. 

According to the law the Union decided to impose an administrative penalty: a dismissal for one year period for the writer Zanganeh, whom he has got a verbal warning before. But he continued his abuse, until the matter reached the point that could not be tolerated, so a decision was made to file a lawsuit against Zanganeh, and he confessed before the judge that he was fully responsible for what he wrote, so the judge could only order a six-month prison sentence, with a stay of execution due to his old age. 

Therefore, the Union calls on its Central Council, and members of the General Assembly, to reject such rhetoric that was loaded with hatred and insult, and not to interact with such attacks aimed to distort the image of the Union, and to respond as much as possible with good words and good deeds.
