Iraqi novelist Inam Kachachi has been nominated for the Nobel Prize for Literature

Iraqi novelist Inam Kachachi has been nominated for the 2022 Nobel Prize in Literature. 
Yesterday, during a conference held by "svenska pen" organization in Swedish capital: Stockholm, voting was held for     nominating 3 literary figures, namelyL Inaam Kachachi, Syrian poet: Salim Barakat and the Haitian-American novelist Edwige Danticat, so that the Iraqi writer won the most votes. 
It is worth mentioning that Inaam Kachachi was born in Baghdad in 1952, and she studied journalism in Baghdad University. 
She worked in Iraqi press and radio before moving to Paris to to get her PHd degree from Sorbonne University. 
She is currently a correspondent in Paris for the Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper in London and for the magazine "Kol Al Osra" in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. 
Inaam Kachachi published a biographical book entitled "Lorna":   the British reporter Lorna Hills, who was married to the pioneering Iraqi sculptor and painter: Jawad Saleem. She also published a book in French on the literature written by Iraqi women during the years of adversity and war.
In 2004, she prepared and directed a documentary film about Dr. Naziha Al-Dulaimi, the first woman who became a minister in an Arab Nation, in 1959. 
She wrote several novels: "Hearts Drivers" in (2005) and "The American Granddaughter" in (2008), which was shortlisted for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction in 2009 and was published in English, French and Chinese.
