The war against Ukraine causes Czech National Theater to cancel its performance of the Cherevichki Opera

The theater spokesman recently announced that the Czech National Theater in Prague cancelled the opening performance of Tchaikovsky Opera composed by the Russian composer Tchaikovsky, due to the war against Ukraine.
Tomasz Stanek said, “We understand the decision taken by the creative team: not to present the work, which might invoke negative sentiments,”
Stanik explained that there are two parts of the work in which the Russian Romantic composer referred to the "Great Russian Empire".
He stated that the theater staff supports Ukraine's struggle for independence.
